QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's in computer Sciences or a related technological field preferred.
  2. Three years of prior experience preferred.
  3. Prior administrative and managerial experience preferred in the area of fund accounting budgets and integration of technology systems.
  4. Experience in selection of hardware and software systems.
  5. Experience with both PC's and MAC's preferred.
  6. Knowledge of Fiber Optics Wiring specifications and configuration preferred.TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 monthsRESPONSIBILITIES:
  7. ,JOB GOAL: Provide direction and leadership to the district in the area of technology by creating a vision and developing a strategic plan.
  8. REPORTS TO: Superintendent
  1. Assist the Superintendent in directing the district's technology program.
  2. Chair the District Technology Education and Curriculum committee.
  3. Facilitate internal and external communications related to technology education.
  4. Address the needs of each school and department and distribute tasks to the appropriate support personnel.
  5. Oversees hardware and software purchases to maximize funding and facilitate efficient management.
  6. Coordinate district training opportunities.
  7. Pursue alternative funding.
  8. Maintain knowledge of State and Federal mandates concerning technology to ensure district's compliance.
  9. Plan and develop policies and procedures for carrying out technology education opportunities.
  10. Develop and monitor budget expenditures.
  11. Maintain inventory control and service contracts for all district hardware and software.
  12. Knowledge of and ability to train others on computer applications currently in use by the district or new software applications.
  13. Maintain a high level of oral and written communication to all district users of computer services.
  14. Perform repairs as needed on hardware and systems.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
