Summary:
Assists in the Administration of financial affairs of the Student Activities/Athletic Funds to provide the maximum services with the financial resources available and to ensure timely, accurate records of all financial transactions.
Minimum Requirements:
Knowledge (position requirements at entry)
- Basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents and or ratios.
- Read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats.
- Present information to others with customer care skills.
e Understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions.
Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR).
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Training and Experience (position requirement at entry) High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
Or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry)
Current Arizona Driver's License e IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Essential Functions:
- Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and community while maintaining and enforcing policy and procedures per Audit Guidelines.
- Works efficiently with a service-orientated attitude under stressful situations with constant interruptions.
- Keeps financial or statistical records of all funds relating to student activities. Monitors, collects, deposits, and balances incoming revenue and cash accounts for Student Activity funds in accordance with USFR and GAAP.
- Posts daily cash balances and computes sales and taxes payable.
- Assembles, tabulates and compares financial data, and writes reports. Balances books and complies reports at regular interval to show the current status of receipts, expenditures, account balances, accounts receivable and payable, profit and loss statement and analysis of surplus and capitol accounts
- Prepares requisitions in compliance with pertinent best policies and procedures.
- Operate standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications.
- Ability to work independently.
- Windows database management, word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Minimum keyboarding speed 35 WPM.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with students, coworkers, supervisor and general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Marginal Functions:
- Cross trains other members of department.
Physical Requirements:
- Work involves the performance of duties where physical exertion is not normally required to perform all aspects of the job.
- Work involves sitting for extended periods of time, requires moving from one location to another, reaching, stooping, bending, and holding and grasping objects.
- Visual weakness must not prohibit the performance of the assigned duties.
- Verbal communicative ability may be required of public contact positions. Travel between work locations maybe required.
