Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for Student Support & School Climate

Contract

Teacher Contract (Certified) plus annual stipend of $10,000 paid in December and May each school year.

Position Summary

The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for Student Support & School Climate serves as a teacher leader responsible for coordinating schoolwide behavior systems, supporting student interventions, coaching staff in effective classroom management, and strengthening a positive school culture.

This position is designed to build staff capacity rather than replace classroom teachers in managing student behavior. The TOSA collaborates with administrators, counselors, teachers, families, and support staff to improve student outcomes while maintaining a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment.

The TOSA will maintain a flexible schedule that includes direct student support, teacher coaching, data analysis, intervention coordination, and classroom support as assigned by the principal.

This Teacher on Special Assignment position will be reviewed annually based on district needs, enrollment, student outcomes, and available funding. Duties may be adjusted by the principal to align with school priorities.
